About Us
Our Mission is to promote youth soccer player development in Northampton and its surrounding communities through the offering of an advanced, competitive soccer program; to promote the sport of soccer in the community; and to develop sound bodies, keen minds, positive competitive attitudes and the spirit of teamwork and good sportsmanship.
NSC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is volunteer led and run. Board members, coaches, team managers, parent cheerleaders, publicists - all are necessary to keep our club strong. NSC was formed in 1991 and has been fielding teams in the Pioneer Valley Junior Soccer League since that time. In 2016, NSC moved its travel teams to the Roots Soccer League and joined forces with the Northampton Youth Soccer Association to run the local recreation league in coordination with the Northampton Parks and Recreation Department.

Director of Coaching: Bryan Jersky

Bryan Jersky grew up in California, where he began playing soccer at the age of 5.
He has played soccer his entire life since then, at the rec, club, high school and adult level. He has coached youth soccer since he was 16yrs old and now loves coaching both of his kids' teams in Northampton. After obtaining his Masters in Social Work from San Diego State University, he founded a non-profit in California called Healthy Planet, where he helped over 60 schools across the state build school garden programs. After moving to Massachusetts, Bryan became the Farm to School Coordinator for the Northampton School District (many of your kids may recognize him as the "taste test" guy!). He was also on the Northampton Soccer Club Board and played a pivotal role in working towards improving communication, transparency, protocols, and defining who NSC is. In his free time, you'll probably find him on a soccer field, playing pickup with his kids, local adults, or figuring out ways to help soccer youth continue to develop and love the game. He will be collaborating closely with our coaches to create an enjoyable and developmental pathway for players in the NSC programs. Bryan can be reached at [email protected] |
